The red wine »H.A.D.E.S. Nikodemus« trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Jürgen Ellwanger has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Lemberger from the region Württemberg in Germany.
The powerful nose combines cassis, dark cherry with oak savouriness, blackberry, pine needle and juniper berry. Well-balanced on the palate, good density and tension, substantial, powerful tannins, cassis again, long finish. Not yet at the end of its ageing potential.
More about the tastingBlackcurrant aroma and noticeable use of wood. Black cherry and juniper on the nose. The phenolics are vivid and are wonderfully integrated into the structure. The finish is long-lasting and the cassis fruit in particular remains on the palate.
