The white wine »Augenstern« Ungstein Weilberg Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Karl Wegner has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 - 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The colour in the glass is a deep golden yellow. The aroma then clearly shows notes of wood, along with harmonious vanilla, ripe apricot, some banana and quince. All these attributes are also opulent on the palate. The minerality is well interwoven with the aforementioned fruit and wood aromas, all texture with a voluminous overall impression.
