The white wine »Pharos« Scheurebe trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Karl Wegner has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Scheurebe from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Golden yellow in colour. The aroma is very intense: floral, heavy, sweet tropical scents, patchouli, clear new wood, then mirabelle plum. In the mouth, the wine opens oily, then shows itself stout and corpulent. The palate has good weight and downright opulence, yet remains measured in alcohol - and is held together by concentrated fruit and coherent acidity.
