Deep, dark ruby-garnet with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a touch of a watery edge. Intense black berry and plum fruit mark the nose, alongside a fine herbal spice note. A touch of noble wood, nougat and nuances of orange zest in the background. The palate is juicy, with a core of ripe heart cherries bringing pleasant fruit sweetness. Well-integrated tannins and a long, chocolatey finish hint at certain ageing potential.
