It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There is an inviting bouquet of herbs and blackberry, with some ripe plum, and an underlay of fine oak spice and nougat. On the palate it is taut, complex, juicy, with well-integrated tannins, cherry compote, and is nicely spicy on the finish. It has good ageing potential.
