The red wine Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve Blaufränkisch Gold, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut K+K Kirnbauer has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There is a lovely fine oak spiciness, with discreet vanilla, ripe wild berry confit, as well as sweet cherry, it is an inviting bouquet. On the palate it is juicy, firm, with a red berry touch, well-integrated tannins, and a salty minerality on the finish. It is a well balanced wine and is already easy to drink.
