The white wine »Réserve« Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Knewitz has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Notes of lemon cake, pear, walnut and smoke on the nose, plus chalky minerality, new oak, Burgundian. Plucky acidity stands out on the palate due to the elegant creaminess, very dense and yet not at all heavy, perfectly balanced, fine phenolics in the long finish. A wine with great certain ageing potential.
