The white wine »1G« Gau-Algesheim Goldberg Riesling trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Knewitz has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Initially citrus-led and reductive on the nose, then an elegant mineral savouriness emerges alongside aromas of ripe stone fruit and tangerine zest. On the palate it's juicy and slightly plump, and at the same time positively tart. A cultivated acid backbone and mineral core leads to a strong finish.
