The red wine Syrah, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Knipser has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah
Distinctly savoury on the nose: dried meat, malt and red currant, plus a typical balsamic Syrah herbaceousness, a hint of rheumatism ointment. On the palate, the wine is surprisingly light-footed, but with good density in the ripe, qualitatively fine-grained to sandy tannin and with still fresh, juicy fruit on the finish.
