The red wine Reserve du Patron Spätburgunder, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Knipser has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Smoky on the nose, juicy, sinewy on the palate, still very closed, fine pixels of tannin, underpinned with nerve and tension, just a hint of spicy berry fruit, a great example and very Burgundian in style that will take its time to develop.
