The red wine Spätburgunder Gross Freinsheimer Oschelskopf, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Krebs has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Very vivid, complex fresh fruit, morello cherry, sloe and black currant, forest floor, herbs, subtle use of oak. Soft underlay, silky to fine-grained tannins with a touch of freshness giving a green element, and with mild slightly increasing acidity over the course of the palate. It combines elegance and density, and currently still seems very young and compact.
