The red wine »Trés fins R« Guntersblum Steig-Terrassen Pinot Noir, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Lamberth has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Smoky and savoury cherry and also plum, with herbal notes, some bay leaf and sage. Juicy on the palate with good fruit expression and polished tannins, the acidity provides coolness and balance, good length with spiciness in the finish.
More about the tastingRather dark in colour. A fragrance of clove, ripe cherry, raspberry as well as allspice. On the palate the wine presents itself with ripe tannin, a slightly smoky note, medium body, sufficient acidity and an attractive finish.
