When freshly opened, slightly reductive nuances are still detectable, along with a subtle use of wood, the fruit is definitely quite restrained at this stage. There is an immediate a very powerful elegance on the palate, the acidity is noticeably buffered and runs delicately around around the edges, contrasted by a full-bodied, mineral structure at the core, slightly influenced by ageing, but geared towards a long life.
