The white wine »Unikat Altenberg 1172« Eibelstadt Mönchsleite Silvaner trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Leininger has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Clear signs of new wood on the nose with coconut notes and cedar followed by green walnut and muted apple fruit. On the palate there's a wonderfully smooth, balanced texture with some salty traces. It's savoury and dense without being overripe, with broad woody tones in support. Very promising, but should be given time to harmonise.
