It has a deep carmine colour, with purple reflections, and a broad bright rim. There is a ripe cherry fruit aroma underlaid with cloves, as well as fresh red berry nuances, herbal notes, and orange peel. It is juicy, elegant, with supporting tannins, sweet fruit, salty nuances, some citrus on the finish, and fresh strawberry notes on the back palate. It is light-footed, and is a firm food wine with ageing potential.
