The white wine »Kalksteinfels«*** Schmieheim Kalkofen Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Lothar Schwörer has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 - 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Initially very closed on the nose, but develops in the glass to reveal white-fleshed pears, sweet almonds, lemongrass, apricots and a touch of candy cane. Intense on the palate with depth and a tight acidic structure, some tartness. An exciting style with a very long lasting finish!
