The red wine Mönchberg Spätburgunder, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Marc Josten has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
On the nose, there is a significant oak barrel character, with malt, fig, juniper, small red berries, a hint of cigar box and a hint of an animalistic undertone. "Artisanal", with grainy tannins in a relatively broad body, with mild acidity, meshed together with lots of juice, and mineral tones.
