The white wine »Steillage Großes Gewächs« Escherndorf Lump Silvaner trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Meier Schmidt has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 - 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
There is yellow fruit on the nose, as well as orange zest, a nice savouriness, and herbal notes such as bay leaf. It is vibrant on the palate, and taut, with a gripping acidity, good tension, strong spiciness, a lovely flavour of ripe stone fruit, oranges, and some minerality, and it has a medium body with a long finish.
