The red wine »Rot« trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Meine Freiheit has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Cubin, Spätburgunder from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Red berry nose with slight hints of undergrowth, violets, some paprika, not quite ripe. Fine acidity, hearty tannins, oscillates between the dark herbaceousness of Cabernet Cubin and the elegance of Pinot according to the (quite different) grape varieties used. Difficult to categorise, but quite successful.
