The red wine »SR« Dernau Goldkaul Pinot Noir trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Oliver Schell has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
Lightly coloured with beguiling, savoury Pinot aromas on the nose: some vanilla from the wood, but also autumnal leaves, undergrowth, dried fig, and herbal bitters. The palate opens with melting tannins, still firm with plenty of texture and measured alcohol, with a noticeable minerality.
