The red wine Monolith, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Obrecht, Christian und Francisca Obrecht has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser, Dominik Vombach, Benajmin Herzog, Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Jenins in Switzerland.
Medium ruby colour. Rather restrained fruit, plum, sweet cherry, raspberry, some fresh pomegranate, with roasted notes and smoky, savoury nuances. Powerful on the palate with plenty of extract but ripe, harmonising acidity. Fine, currently still noticeable tannin. Lingers for a long time. Needs to mature.
