The white wine Birkweiler Kastanienbusch, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Ökonomierat Rebholz has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling
The aroma is still clearly characterised by the spontaneous fermentation: nettle, kimchi, sesame oil, malty, wet earth, some peat – the primary fruit is still finding its way. Focused on the palate and with an uncompromising interpretation of the site, it is purist, dry, with high tension and mineral accents. A powerhouse with a long life.
