The red wine »Magna Essentia« Ahrweiler Rosenthal Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Paul Schumacher has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
The aroma is overwhelmingly fruity: dark berries, blackberry, elderberry, plus a clear slate component. A generous suppleness dominates on the palate, the fine, dense tannin is well integrated, minerality and acidity provide tension. Very long!
