Tasting Notes
Black cherry with a port-like (but fresh and non-oxidative) top note, lots of slate, dark berries, subtle wood. In the mouth, the ultra-fine tannins exert a powerful drive, the tension plateau lasts for an enormously long time and swings in time with the minerality, the very fine, lively acidity is seamlessly one with texture and extract. Great length.
More about the tastingBarrel tasted. Floral aromas, red Kampot pepper, blackberry and elderberry. On the palate, dense, with mellow tannins, at its apex, quite dense and airy at the same time in a paradoxical way, with a deep, noble extraction, mineral, juicy, long, great ageing potential.
