The red wine »Magna Essentia«, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Paul Schumacher has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 96+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
The nose is dominated by incendiary mineral aromas, sparkling, with a hint of reduction, which keeps the dark berry fruit somewhat under wraps. In the mouth, suppleness, acidity, tactile minerality and fine-grained tannins are closely interwoven. Juiciness dominates the finish in harmony with the tactile mineral accents. Grandiose elegance!
