The white wine Herrenpfad Sylvaner trocken, vintage 2024 from the winery Weingut Rinck has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The aroma is intensely characterized by spontaneous fermentation, showing notes of bitter herbs and liquorice alongside the reductive aromas. Also some stewed apple (and a slight tertiary note). Then almond again. Very versatile. On the palate, the wine is taut, pithy, with a firm phenolic backbone and a clear mineral character. Distinctive and in need of ageing.
