The white wine »Unter den Bäumen« Sylvaner trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Rinck has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Ripe nose, marzipan, orange zest, kumquats, fully ripe gooseberries, a hint of vin naturel. On the palate the fruit is not in the foreground, a good dose of ripe phenolics support the taut structure, stable, supporting acidity, dry, unaffected, mineral.
More about the tastingYolk yellow colour in the glass, juicy nose of stone and graphite, also smoke, dried flowers and rape honey. Full-bodied on the palate and yet somehow light on the palate due to the strong dose of very fine phenolics, incredibly juicy, lively acidity, fresh, drinkable. Skillful.
More about the tastingRich golden yellow. Slightly smoky aromas, ripe apricot, apple skin, sage, wormwood and malt. The palate contrasts somewhat with the nose, tightly structured with a fresh acidic backbone and ripe phenolics giving support, extremely dry and mineral with good tension.
