The red wine Bürgstadt Hundsrück Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Rudolf Fürst has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Franconia in Germany.
On the nose cherry pit and sweet cherry mingle with delicate floral hints, sage and very discreet woody notes. In the mouth there's lot of juice as well as fine-grained, quite ripe tannin that attacks early and keeps the tension for a very long time without becoming astringent. Saltiness on the finish balances the juice, bringing an intense tactile minerality - and a fine one at that.
