Tasting Notes
A smoky nose, slate notes, some petrol, grapefruit, quince. Multi-layered on the palate with a taut, robust acidity, a wonderful minerality, slate notes, lemon and lime zest. Still youthful, good ageing potential.
More about the tastingReserved fruit on the nose, some anise and crushed coriander seeds. Then fascinating on the palate, very different to other Rieslings aged in wood. Lots of black pepper, brimming with fruit, what it lacks in elegance, it makes up in power.
