Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Fine black berry fruit, some cassis, delicate oak savouriness, with some nougat and vanilla in the background. Powerful, tightly meshed, ripe heart cherry, supporting ripe tannins, some fine chocolate and cloves on the finish, has length and certain ageing potential, a full-bodied food companion.
More about the tastingDark ruby in colour with an opaque core, purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, aromas of fine black forest berries, some cassis, delicate fine oak spice, and a touch of minerality. The palate is powerful and finely meshed, with supporting, ripe tannins, ripe cherry fruit and some fine chocolate notes on the long finish. Has the potential to mature for a few more years.
