The white wine »Bunter Sandstein« Deidesheim Riesling trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Scheuermann has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Notes of spontaneous fermentation, herbal, with hints of apple peel, yeast and a little malt. On the palate it shows with pace and tension, purist in expression, fully fermented, kitsch-free with trenchant acidity and fine phenolics layering. Draws straight onto the slightly salty finish.
