The red wine Fürstenlager Spätburgunder, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Schloss Schönberg has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Hessische Bergstraße in Germany.
Spicy new wood, speculoos biscuit, allspice and clove. Also spontaneous fermentation notes and cherry fruit and red berry aromas. Very delicate on the palate with good extract, fine tannin but not too soft, exuding freshness and tension, plus fruit with great clarity and intensity and excellent length. A miracle of balance!
