The white wine »Halbstück« Meissner Kapitelberg Riesling, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Schuh has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Saxony in Germany.
On the nose, there are aromas of caramel, pomelo, and liquorice, as well as a light oak note. On the palate, the wine flows richly and smoothly, the acidity seems restrained and lends the wine a full-bodied, almost broad character through its subtlety. However, the substance is good and the ageing potential of this almost Burgundy-like Riesling is fully intact.
