The red wine Schwarz Rot, vintage 2006 from the winery Weingut Schwarz has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Burgenland in Austria.
Deep carmine, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim. Sweet roasted aromas, a hint of toffee, dark berries and ripe plum are in the background, some cassis in the background, very inviting bouquet. Juicy, elegant, red berry fruit, fine sweetness, ripe, balanced tannins, mineral and fresh, red cherry on the finish, shows very good length, has reached maturity but certainly has further maturity and ageing potential.
