The red wine »vogelfrei« Merlot trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Siegloch has been rated in 2017 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Württemberg in Germany.
It has chocolaty oak aroma notes, as well as ripe blackberry, and peppermint in overtones. There are fleshy tannins, a marked structure, high density, integrated alcohol, a prominent acidity which is well suited to the structure. It seems young and full of ageing potential. Despite the density it is not a blockbuster.
