Some freshly picked juniper berry on the nose, slightly ethereal and peppery, black pepper, ripe cherry, also sour cherry, thyme, slightly earthy notes. The "Homeland" shows good substance on the palate, the dynamics are extract-driven, ripe acidity, fine texture, deep, ripe tannin, good length and lots of certain ageing potential.
