Tasting Notes
Freshly fruity and almost reminiscent of Pinot from the slate, sweet almond, red and black currant, plus some menthol. The palate has plenty of juiciness and a taut, rather medium-bodied structure with ripe acidity. A sinewy type with very good ageing potential.
More about the tastingBlack peppery, with a scent of boiled cinnamon plums, clinging to cedar wood and black cherry. Intense and dense. Refreshingly ethereal on the first palate impression, lavender, white pepper and graphite. Full body, powerful, grippy tannins. Acidity reminiscent of sour cherries.
More about the tastingBlackberry, cassis, fine woody savouriness, orange oil and earthy beet, some juniper berries. Dry with taut acidity and a minerality that acts like a cool vein with notes of iron and graphite. Long, fine and yet grippy tannins with reserves.
