The red wine Excalibur, vintage 2008 from the winery Weingut Taferner has been rated in 2011 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Carnuntum in Austria.
Dark ruby colour, purple reflections. Dark berry fruit on the nose, delicate floral undertones, candied orange zest, some nougat. Juicy, elegant, flavours of ripe plum and cherry, some cocoa on the finish. it is already easy to drink, and is a well-balanced food wine.
