The red wine »Violette« Pinot Noir trocken, vintage 2014 from the winery Weingut von Winning has been rated in 2018 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Chocolatey new oak, small red berries, a little floral, with chamomile aromas. Dense and firm, a hint of astringency, slightly stemmy, seems "artisanal" and very firmly extracted. A great deal of tannin - will take a decade rather than four or five years.
