Tasting Notes
Distinct but not over-accentuated wood, grapefruit, white currant, with air contact also red apple and kiwi. Dense and full-bodied on the palate, firm acidity, an extract-borne wine without superficiality and without forward tones, more Pessac-Léognan in style than Sancerre, with very good ageing potential.
More about the tastingSubtle oak, and closed. There is a layer of creaminess behind the robust structure of acidity and mellow phenolics. The finish gives a hint of spiciness to come, but is still completely withdrawn. Great ageing potential, marked by its structure.
More about the tastingDistinct new wood and a basket of tropical fruits: papaya, mango, pineapple and Cape gooseberry. Linear on the palate with a currently slender mid-palate and wood-influenced structure, creaminess and fruit remain defensive, silky finish. Very balanced in its proportions, unaffected.
