The white wine Sylvaner trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Winzerhof Krauss Abtswind has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
The multi-layered, challenging nose reveals plenty of spice, herbs, tobacco, pepper, apple, pear, quince, as well as stony notes from the Keuper soil. Tight and compact on the palate, with good tension, fine, mealy extract, an undertone of mineral spice, straightforward acidity, and noticeable yet well-integrated phenolics.
