Croatia inoculates itself for the summer
This should no longer stand in the way of summer tourism
Summer is getting closer and closer and with it the hope of a change of scenery and time out by the sea. But for this to be possible, the situation surrounding the pandemic needs to calm down even further. Vaccinations are progressing everywhere and also Croatia has already launched several initiatives to ensure summer tourism. One of them: The country vaccinates employees who work in tourism.
Vaccination coverage until summer 2021
The summer season is already in the starting blocks, but is still somewhat uncertain. We still don't know how the coronavirus situation will have developed by then. However, in order to take a step towards "safety", Croatia has started to vaccinate tourism employees. Dubrovnik and Istria were the first to immunize all those who have contact with future vacation guests. The aim of the vaccination campaign is to vaccinate all employees in the sector, which has been very hard hit recently, by the summer.
Initiatives to simplify holidays in Croatia
In addition, the initiative "Croatian Islands - COVID free zone" ensure that vacationers feel particularly safe. Croatian islands on this list are among those with a particularly low incidence. There will also be a Green Pass and an expansion of the "Safe Stay in Croatia" program. This should provide a simple overview of the current coronavirus situation in the respective regions of Croatia.
The "Safe Stay in Croatia" seal already has 12,000 properties throughout Croatia. More than 200 hotels and campsites have also announced that they will also participate in the Swiss safety certificate "SGS" to be interested.
