Noma goes SoCal: Copenhagen’s world-famous fine dining legend heads for L.A.
Coming soon to a plate near you: In spring 2026, the award-winning restaurant will have its first residency in America's second city.
After previous stints in Sydney, Tulum, and Kyoto, the famed culinary icon Noma is now heading to Los Angeles, providing their three-Michelin-starred chef René Redzepi with a new and exciting playground. World-renowned for his pioneering spirit and innovative approach to Nordic cuisine, Redzepi and his team will once again immerse themselve in a new environment, taking inspiration from the vibrant hub that is the City of Angels.
In the short teaser posted on Noma’s website, shots of cacti and citrus, California crabs, and cinematic shots of Hollywood accompany the poetically voiced question, "What is L.A.?". And indeed, it is the city’s deep contrasts, its relentless marriage of seemingly diametrical opposites, that allows for an exploration of what’s possible outside the confines of homogeneity.
From November onwards, Redzepi will begin his month-long residency, with his team joining him in early spring next year. While the exact plans for Noma L.A. are under wraps as of now, one thing is evident from Noma's previous outings: Redzepi's expertise in foraging, fermenting, and getting the most out of seasonal ingredients, along with his deep sense of curiosity and daring will leave Californians wanting more.
