Tasting Notes
Medium carmine garnet, ruby red reflections, broad ochre rim. Strong vegetal-balsamic nuances on the nose, intense herbal extract, some cough syrup, licorice, a hint of Madeira, reminiscent of the 73 Barolo Monfortino by Giacomo Conterno. Powerful and sweet on the palate, lively acid structure, firm, distinctive tannins that still appear somewhat brittle, lemony finish, seems somewhat encapsulated at this stage, patience is required, as this wine is certainly destined for a long life.
