The red wine Hermitage, vintage 2006 from the winery Domaine Jean-Louis Chave has been rated in 2011 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Tournon-sur-Rhône in France.
Dark ruby garnet colour, with a light watery rim. Delicately animalistic, some milk caramel, finely matured bouquet, nougat and wild berries, seductive, almost suggestive, very subtle animalistic touch. Juicy, full-bodied, powerful texture, chocolaty touch, crisp acidity, lingers for a very long time, fine nougat and dark berries on the finish, a complete food wine. Very good ageing potential.
