Strong ruby, purple reflections, faint ochre brightening on the rim. Herbal savouriness, ripe plums, a touch of nougat, in the background blackberry confit; an attractive bouquet. Juicy, good complexity and spiciness, ripe cherries, fine tannins, a hint of lovage. A mineral finish which lingers long. Certain ageing potential.
