The sweet and dessert wine Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese, vintage 1981 from the winery Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof has been rated in 2007 with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Stronger yellow-green. Inviting caramel peach fruit on the nose, delicate hints of light Stollwerck. Balanced on the palate, fresh, yellow peach also in the mouth, very elegant, now perfectly developed, delicate tropical fruit on the finish, a round, smaller vintage with medium length. (The darker color could be an indication of deacidification).
