Biscuits: Orange Biscuits

The wonderful scent of oranges not only goes perfectly with the Christmas season, but also goes well with juicy biscuits.

Chief of Sugar

Ingredients
150 g flour
100 g butter
50 g icing sugar
salt
zest of one orange
orange marmalade
  • Preheat oven to 190 °C. Mix butter, flour, orange zest and icing sugar into a shortcrust pastry.
  • Roll the dough thinly to about 2 to 3 millimetres and cut out round shapes with a biscuit cutter.
  • Place on a baking tray and bake for about twelve minutes. Once the biscuits have cooled, glue two pieces together with orange marmalade.
  • Sprinkle with icing sugar to serve.
