This sandwich combines sweet figs with creamy Gorgonzola and salty salami - a focaccia with an Italian indulgence factor!

A panino from paradise: creamy mild Gorgonzola, air-dried salami and ripe, melting figs to provide an unparalleled fresh and fruity kick. A deluxe sandwich really can be this simple!

Ingredients (2 servings)
200 g fresh focaccia bread
120 g Gorgonzola Cremoso, room temperature
3 Ripe figs
150 g Italian salami, preferably Cacciatore DOP, sliced thinly
  • Cut the focaccia lengthwise, then spread the bottom half with the Gorgonzola.
  • Slice the figs lengthwise and place them and the salami generously on top.
  • Put the other half of the focaccia on top, press down a little and crisp briefly in a sandwich grill.

Tip:

Buffalo mozzarella or ricotta!

If you are not a fan of blue cheese, you can also use buffalo mozzarella or ricotta but add fresh herbs such as basil or rocket to add extra spice!
