Smoked Salmon Bagels

A sesame-seed bagel filled with cream cheese and salmon and a touch of fresh dill: it's a dish that's more than the sum of its parts, and it makes breakfast feel a little bit special. A simple recipe for the perfect breakfast in bed.

Ingredients

Ingredients (2 servings)
4 Bagels
150 g Cream cheese
2 twigs Dill
2 twigs Watercress
Salt
Freshly ground pepper
120 g Smoked salmon (cold-smoked)
2 teaspoon(s) Lemon juice
Lemon wedges (for garnish)
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Wash the dill, shake it dry, and roughly chop. Also, wash the watercress, shake it dry, and then tear it apart.
  • Bake the bagels in the oven for 5 minutes, halve them horizontally, and spread the cream cheese on the bottom halves. Distribute the watercress and smoked salmon on top, season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  • Sprinkle everything with dill and drizzle with lemon juice. Place the top halves and serve the bagels garnished with lemon wedges.
